valentine's day

ava has long been an admirer of the balloons at the grocery store, and valentine's day seemed like the perfect excuse to finally indulge her obsession. say what you will about the "hallmark holidays", ava enjoys them all. valentine's day was particularly nice as the world suddenly bloomed with one of her favorite words : "heart, heart".

i'm not entirely sure how she's going to make it all the way to easter without a theme. i guess we'll have to stop to celebrate st. patrick's day along the way, although "leprechaun" seems like a tough word for an 18 month old.
