halloween delivery

we took ava on her first local neighborhood trick or treat this year. by far the best part of the expedition for everyone was the UPS delivery man. we ran into him a few blocks from our house, and he fished out some lollipops from his pocket for ava. up until this point, ava had only received crummy old chocolate (which she hates), so she was pretty enthused about the lollipops. they were the great, old-fashioned kind - in the see-through wrappers, so she could tell instantly what she was getting. after completing the lollipop transaction, he brought out a package tucked under his other arm and handed it to me. that's right . . . the UPS guy recognized me . . . at twilight . . . in a fairy costume . . . two blocks from my house . . . because that's house many packages the poor guy has delivered to our house! lots more fairy pics here.
